Vintage Madoura Plein Feu Pottery Wax Resist Bowl with Icarus NOT Picasso Ramie

Vintage Madoura Plein Feu Pottery Wax Resist Bowl with Icarus. Offering a very nice albeit AS IS piece of pottery from the famous Madoura Plein Feu Pottery of Vallauris, France, where the master Pablo Picasso designed and decorated pottery from the late 1940s and through the 50s and 60s. This one is decorated in the style of the master and has a crude drawing of what I believe to be Icarus with wings coming out of his side and is even anatomically correct. It measures 8 1/4″ in diameter and stands 2 3/4″ high. It has the impressed mushroom shaped mark of the Madoura Pottery on the bottom along with MADE IN FRANCE. The glaze has chipped off somewhat extensively in areas but it could be framed in such a way as to minimize it. It also shows some residue in the bowl itself. Nonetheless, an interesting piece.
