Vintage Pottery Bowls

Terrific pair of bowls or dishes by Denis Vibert, Pine Tree Kiln, Sullivan, Maine, mid to late 20th century, redware in slightly convex rectangular form with rounded corners, each finished in a light gray high glaze with impressed natural leaf patterns in blue, approx. 8″ x 6″ x 1-1/4″ overall, each marked “Vibert Maine. In excellent, perfectly preserved condition, with no cracks, chips, or crazing. A particularly striking duo from this renowned British-born Maine art potter (1919 2004), whose works have been exhibited in a Smithsonian traveling exhibition and at the DeCordova Museum, Worcester Art Museum, Colby College, and University of Maine, among other venues.
