This is the largest serving bowl in the Atomic Starburst pattern by Franciscan. It is marked on the bottom: Franciscan Earthenware (in the center), Gladding McBean Co. Made in USA (in tiny print in a circle around the larger center mark). The bowl is not-quite-round; like other pieces in this pattern, the edges are higher in a couple places giving it sort of an abstract shape. I would call it round-ish. ” It measures 12″ in diameter in one direction, and 11.75 in the other. If you look at the photos, this will make sense! It is about 3 7/8 tall at the tallest sides. This bowl is in fantastic shape. Look at it — was it ever used? Big and deep — perhaps they never had enough guests over for dinner to use this largest of the Atomic Starburst bowls. It is very glossy and I don’t see any damage. This bowl is heavy (unwrapped it weighs nearly 4 lbs), and it will need a big box to protect it properly. It is physically impossible for me to cram in into a smaller box, so please don’t ask me to do that. This bowl has survived in great shape a long time, and it deserves TLC. The size and weight of the box, and the distance it has to travel from me to you, determine the cost. Thank you for looking.
