Vintage Pottery Bowls

For your consideration is a fabulous vintage pottery bowl by Canadian potter Tessa Kidick dating to the 1960′s/1970′s. Wonderful thickly applied crackle crater glaze with an abstract design. Tessa Kidick was a potter sent by the Ontario Arts Council to teach pottery to six or seven “Six Nations” women who were interested in reviving the lost art of Iroquois pottery. One of which was Elda Smith, who formed the “Mohawk Pottery Studio”. Measures 7 1/2″ in diameter at the rim and 1 1/8″ in height. In very nice vintage condition. Small chip on rim – probably started out as a glaze pop – mentioned for accuracy sake. Please refer to the pictures as they are part of our description and please ask questions if you are unsure.
