Boris Chatman was born in Russia, studied art in Paris, lived and worked in Spain and North Africa and later emigrated to the U. On 6/09/1952 – An exhibition of his work alongside ceramicists, Miss Rose Krebs and Boris Chatman, was on view. He sometimes used a scratched or painted BC into the clay as pictured. He expired in August of 1965. This fantastic pottery ceramic bowl is part of his legacy. Bowl measures 8.25″ in diameter x 3.5″ tall. Overall in very good condition for age, showing some pinpoint clay marks from firing. A very unique art piece that will never be duplicated and very worthy of any fine art collector.
