Cikovsky exhibited at the MoMA and the 1940 Worlds Fair. It has an impressed Stonelain mark on the back which originated in 1933. Stonelain was a pottery associated with AAA (Associated American Artists). It also relates to the artist colony at Woodstock, NY. Cikovsky has used shades of blue, green, and orange to depict a seaside scene of a fisherman with his boat and net gazing out onto the water. The back is dark blue and has holes and wire for mounting the bowl on a wall. The piece is from the early to mid 20th century and was made in America. It is in very good condition.
