Museum Qty Marked Ajiki Hiro Mingei Pottery Chawan Tea Bowl Shoji Hamada. MINT – Museum quality Marked Hiro. Ajiki Hiro Chawan tea bowl with Carbon Trap Shino Glaze. New – Mint Condition. A beautiful Marked Ajiki Hiro Shino with carbon trap glazed Chawan tea bowl. The bowl measures 4 3/4 x 4 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches high. This is an opportunity to own a wonderful authentic piece of Ajiki Hiro’s work. 1987 Grand Prize at the Modern Tea Forms Exhibition (Chanoyu zokei ten) at the Tanabe Museum of Art located in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture. The annual exhibition, established in 1984, celebrated the fifth anniversary of the museum. The competition is juried by many of Japan’s top critics, most prominently by Hayashiya Seizo. Hundreds of works are submitted each year for the six-member jury (again won in 2000 and 2003).
