ANTIQUE NIPPON FERNER FERN BOWL MORIAGE GOLD HAND PAINTED FEET 1900′s VINTAGE. You don’t find pieces that are a hundred years old that are in this great of condition. This one would have held quite a sizeable pot. It measures in at about 9 1/4 inches from handle to handle 7″ in diameter without handles by 4 1/2″ tall. Stands on four gold feet. Directly above the feet area is a wide gold band with a single row of beads upon it. Above this is the flower area with a white background with some blended pale green and pink fully opened flowers. The top half of this piece has an ornate pattern of gold both in the moriage and hand painted style…. See closeup in picture 5. Two split handles with gold covering them. A gold band at the rim that goes up and over into the inside. Below this is a hand painted scroll…. Very uncommon to find this remaining, and in such good condition. The inside is an off white. On the underside in green is the authentic Hand Painted Nippon mark. Time to share it with some fellow collectors. If you like near mint pieces… This one might be for you. Comes from smoke free home.
