This is a unique Piece of pottery serving bowl or stew cook pot. Stands 9 1/4 inches tall and 91/4 round at bottom and tappers up word toward lid. The handle on top is done in a beautiful ribbon design and the handles on each side are like ridged alcoves for the fingers to hold onto with greater stability. The design is a tapered stew pot, and the colors are all rich tone a deep dirty like yellows and browns that adds to the age and history of this piece. The inside of lid and the pot is a deep crimson, orange with the edging showing the richness of the stoneware pottery itself. Has a pattern of dark brown paint brush stripes could be symbols of some sort, don’t recall if I ever knew. The design is unique and would add distinction and interest to any collection, or decor. No chips, cracks or broken pieces. A large-size pottery piece with deep color and design and very heavy. I took several pictures to try and captured it. But held in one direction you can see it better than another.
