Exterior with three vignettes; 1. The West View of Cast Iron Bridge on the River Wear; 2. Sailors Farewell, and 3. A poem Glide on my bark the summers tide. The interior with three vignettes; 1. Poem England, England Glorious name and 3. Condition: minor flakes to lustre to rim; firing crack in foot rim. The cast iron bridge was erected over the river Wear in 1796. At that time it was the longest single span bridge in the world. The Sailors Farewell, and The Sailors Return were ballads by Edward Thompson 1738?
