I’m a big fan of San Jose Pottery and have never seen another of these plates. It features a black bird sitting amid the leaves of a tree branch. Most likely made in the 1920s or 1930s. Its gorgeous colors include aqua and cobalt blue, greens, brown, black, gray and a pale golden for the bird’s breast. It’s in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. (There’s a tiny glaze pop below the branches on the right — please see last photo). Measures 10 1/8 across. The San Jose Mission logo is on the back. Plate stand not included.
