For your consideration is a fabulous vintage large pottery bowl by Canadian potter Tessa Kidick dating to the 1960′s/1970′s. Wonderful thickly applied glaze – see photos. Tessa Kidick was a potter sent by the Ontario Arts Council to teach pottery to six or seven “Six Nations” women who were interested in reviving the lost art of Iroquois pottery. One of which was Elda Smith, who formed the “Mohawk Pottery Studio”. Measures 10″ in diameter at the rim and 2 3/4″ in height. In fantastic vintage condition – mentioned for accuracy sake.
