Wonderful handbuilt and incised bowl by San Juan potter Rosita Cata (1950 -). Rosita began making this revival style of redware pottery in 1970. Rosita is well-known for her incised geometric patterns. This older piece glitters with the micaceous clay that is used in the slip. This piece is from a private collection and we are honored to be able to offer it. This circles on the bottom of the bowl are from pads that were placed on the bowl to keep it safe.
