Wood Blue Historical Staffordshire Shell Border Square Serving Bowl Lid Only. For sale is this fine dark blue Staffordshire square serving bowl lid (no base) in the Shell Border (circular center) series by Enoch Wood & Sons of Burslem, Staffordshire. The lid shows landscapes on all four sides. The lid is 8 1/4 by 8 3/8 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. It has a very fancy large floral knob and weighs 1 lb 6 oz. No maker’s mark. Condition: Excellent save for flake on one corner, as shown, and some minor fleabites to the petals of the knob. This flake is glazed with both dark blue and clear glaze, showing that it is original to manufacture. I will gladly send more pictures if you wish. We are a small family-owned American business.
