Clay near the pueblo isgathered, cleaned and prepared. Thetraditional hand coiling method is used to create the shape of the pot. It isfired in an outdoor pit and hand polished. Since the 1990s Denise hasparticipated in and won awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market, the New MexicoState Fair and the Eight Northern Pueblos Arts & Crafts Show. This pot has a dramaticcarved swirl around the entire body of the highly polished pot.
