From the windswept Hopi mesas in northern Arizona, a classic old Hopi Indian bowl, measuring 9 inches in diameter at the rim by 2 inches deep. Painted in classic Sikyatki Revival style with abstracted feather and bird motifs and bear claws. The Sikyatki Revival style was developed by early Hopi potter Nampeyo in the 1890′s and has been carried on by her descendants and other potters to this day. There are no chips or cracks. The orange-red Hopi clay has fired a dark red, almost brown color. This bowl was made circa 1940′s to 1960′s. Addresses (48 states only).
