Vintage Pigeon Forge Pottery Lava Glaze Bowl Brown Atomic Burst Ridge D Ferguson. Used but great condition. No chips or cracks. There’s a hole in the center. It may be used as a candle holder. There is some what looks like discoloring on top. See last picture for reference. I’m unsure if this was made while manufactured or not. Douglas Ferguson and his wife Ruth founded Pigeon Forge Pottery in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in 1946. They organized their business so the pottery produced there would be high quality. At one point they employed 12 potters who would cast, glaze and fire stock items.
