I did my best to research this. But was challenged finding a website that dates the back stamp. The color is different from others I found- beige on the outside cream yellow on the inside. It is pristine- no nicks, chips, cracks or signs of use. Looks practically brand new. Bottom has impressed marking with patent 491517. Measures 12″ handle to handle, 11.25″ across the bowl. Lots of reflection in some of the photos off the glossy internal glaze.

Hard to find bread rising bowl and lid made by Watt Pottery circa 1930s with a excellent crescent moon and star Art Deco design. Lovely pumpkin orange glaze. These bowls are hard to find and even harder to find with the lid. Condition: In excellent antique condition underside of lid has some minor chips. Bowl has no chips. Measures approx 9 1/2 across.
