A pair of circular earthenware bowls with shaped central division of’yin yang’ form – internally two colour glazed. One segment is turquoise glazed, the second ash glazed with a’crackle’ finish. Externally, both examples are decorated with incised foliage and inscriptions – see pictures. Both bases are impressed with the Yixing seal – picture 11. Diameter – 4 5/8″ (118mm), height – 1 3/4″ (45mm). Total weight – 601 grams. The overall condition is Good. A small’hairline’ crack to the turquoise section of one bowl, originating at the rim, (hard to see) – Image 12 details this area. No restoration or repairs.
