It has a very nice matte glaze of tan-blue-green-gray with brown speckles. This piece is quite heavy nearly 5 lbs. And has built-in handles. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and was collected but never used. It has a stamp on the bottom by the artist (mf) and a stamp of what appears to be a date 4 85 = April 1985? This beautiful piece belonged to a friend’s late wife who collected studio art pottery during the 1980′s before they were married. This casserole holds about 3 quarts.
