This listing is for a vintage studio pottery footed bowl or tazza, made by Alan Caiger Smith of the Aldermaston Pottery, and probably dating from c. The bowl is of a deep round form, standing on a knopped stem and round flared foot, it is decorated with a brushed line design in a grey colour, with a vibrant mottled red lustre glaze effect in filling, on a white tin-glazed ground. It measures 6 3/4″ high and 8 1/4″ across the top. There is a small hairline to the rim, hardly noticeable, and possibly from firing, otherwise in excellent condition, with no damage or restoration.
