5 Piece Breakfast Set. For your consideration is a charming breakfast set of white pottery with a blue and green plaid design. I do not know the precise age, but the “Made in Japan” stamp indicates the set was produced between 1921 and 1941. There are no maker’s marks. The condition of each piece differs, so we have listed and photographed them individually. Coffee Pot – approximately 7″ x 4 3/4″ x 9 1/4 h. Lots of crazing, but no cracks or chips; quite a few spots where the glaze has missed including a very noticeable area on one side and on the underside of the lid. Syrup Pitcher – approximately 4 1/2″ x 3″ x 5 3/4 h. Minor crazing, mainly on the handle and underside of the lid; no cracks or chips; a few areas of missed glaze. Cereal Bowl – approximately 6″ diameter x 3″ h. Very pronounced crazing and discoloration and a series of cracks on the interior and underside; some significant glaze issues. Sugar Shaker – approximately 2 1/4″ diameter x 3 1/2″ h. Noticeable crazing and discoloration and one nick on the top edge; one spot where the glaze has missed. The cork appears to be new. Toast Tray – overall crazing, but the color is nice and bright; no chips, cracks or significant glaze problems, just a few small missing spots on one edge.
