Scattered florals decorate the interior and applied florals surround the outside of the bowl. Height is 4.5 inches. Marked on the base with the underglaze blue mark. This is a beautiful and stunning Antique Limoges France, Centerpiece bowl. It is made of porcelain and in reticulated design with raised roses around the outside. It is footed and has gold trim. In the center it has a bouquet of hand painted flowers. It is stamped Limoges on the bottom. It is difficult to notice but there are two areas where raised rose design is damaged. Both are close together. There is a broken leaf and a broken flower petal. It measures 10 1/2 to the end of the handles on 2 sides. It is gold trimmed. Overall a highly collectable piece.

Beautiful and impressive vintage large gilt decorated fine porcelain reticulated open compote with pedestal base in the “Old Paris” style manufactured by Vista Alegre of Portugal. The oval bowl features large overlapping arched openings topped with small intertwined twists. Sides are lightly embossed with a gold trimmed long feather-like decoration, the tips of which curve outward to create two small tab handles. The pure white porcelain is accented with heavy gold bands around the rim & foot and several fine bands on base of bowl & pedestal. Constructed of 2 pieces that are bolted together, both having matching artists marks where pieces meet (not visible when piece is together). Base is double-marked; has the “VA Portugal” green underglaze backstamp that was used from 1947 until 1968 and the blue “Made in Portugal” mark. Approximately 14″ wide x 9 7/8″ high x 8 deep. Gold has small spots of rubbing on 2 corners of the base & a couple of extremely fine tiny scratches. Handle has two small paint smears that appear to be from factory. Nut & washer in base have minor rust (porcelain is not stained). NO chips, cracks or flakes. Displays extremely well intage Vista Alegre Large Oval Centerpiece /Compote Bowl.
