Vintage Native American Navajo Pueblo Pottery Bowl Signed Artist Juan Redeye Bowl Pot Measures 9 round approximately. There are some stains & scuffs here and there throughout. Overall, a beautiful piece of pottery and otherwise good condition.

Being offered is an old, southwest Indian style turtle effigy pottery bowl. This came with a collection of old and ancient Indian pottery collection. The piece has a Tesque or Cochiti Pueblo Indian style and design but can not fully attribute this piece to the cultures. It is possible this piece was from Central America or Mexican in origin. The piece is old and has a burnishing mark from being fired in an open pit or fire. The piece was crafted with the bottom be fashioned with the head and then the shell attached and fired together. The base of the shell does have some bottom edge nips or chips but otherwise the bowl has no other issues. The bowl is approx. 4 1/4″ wide side view by 3 1/8″ wide front view, and 2 1/4 tall. Up for sale is a large antique handmade Santa Clara Native American Pueblo centerpiece pottery bowl. It’s sculpted by hand with a lovely silhouette featuring a gorgeous two toned design and wavy lip. The piece is forged out of thick blackware pottery, has a flat bottom, and is in good condition. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall.

Being offered is a large, vintage, Acoma Indian made art pottery bowl. This is an exceptional piece as the bowl was hand thrown and has thin wall construction. The piece is decorated with the classic colors, symbols and designs. The bowl shows typical age related wearing and has some surface scuffs, scratches, and color thinning in places. There is a glaze or slip color smear on one side from the manufacturing process. This is shown in one of the pics. The bowl is intact with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. Overall, nice shape for a piece this size. The bowl is approx. 7 5/8″ tall by 8 1/2″ wide at its widest portion. In addition, I sell items for Native Americans and from personal collections. Up for sale is a nice quality vintage handmade Santa Clara Native American Pueblo pottery bowl done by artists Yolanda Velarde. It’s sculpted by hand with a lovely silhouette featuring a gorgeous two toned design and has a square shaped mouth. The piece is forged out of thick blackware pottery, has a flat bottom, and is in good condition. It’s signed underneath and measures 3 3/4 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches tall.

Size: 6 1/2″ by 4 1/2″. Her son Tim “Sunbird” Vigil and daughters Annette Vigil Luhan and Bernadette “Bernie” Vigil, also made pottery in the 1980s. Minnie was known for her polychrome pottery and the use of numerous clay slips to create the colors. She signed her piece, “Minnie”. She has won numerous awards at events such as Santa Fe Indian Market. Puye Cliff Dwellings was home to 1,500 Pueblo Indians who lived, farmed and hunted game there from the 900s to 1580 A. Inhabitants of Puye Cliff Dwellings then moved into the Rio Grande River Valley. They became ancestors of today’s Santa Clara people, who now live at Santa Clara Pueblo, 10 miles east of Puye Cliff Dwellings. Puye Cliffs comprises two levels of cliff and cave dwellings cut into the cliff face, as well as dwellings on the mesa top. Over one mile long, the first level runs the length of the base of the mesa. The second level is about 2,100 feet long. Paths and stairways were cut into the face of the rock to connect the two levels and allow people to climb to the top of the mesa. Representing early Pueblo architecture, cave dwellings on the mesa top were part of a single, multi-storied complex built around a large, central plaza. While the total number of rooms is unknown, the south part of the complex had 173 on the ground floor and multiple stories in various places, similar to modern-day Taos Pueblo. The largest of all settlements is the in the Pajarito Plateau, Puye Cliffs was excavated in summer 1907 by Edgar Hewitt in cooperation with the Southwest Society of the Archeological Institute of America. Puye Cliff Dwellings was the first of the ancient pueblos of the Rio Grande Valley to be systematically excavated.
