Rare Vintage Pauline Pottery, pale green with dark blue drip 2 1/2 X 6 inches. Pauline Jacobus was a china painter who taught the subject in her Chicago home. She went to Cincinnati in 1881 where she studied at the Rookwood School for Pottery Decoration. She founded the Pauline Pottery in 1883, the first art pottery company in Chicago. She later moved to Wisconsin. My mother collected vintage American Art Pottery. There is a small chip in the inside of the bowl, evident in the photo. I remember removing this Crane pale-jade bowl from its original installation several years ago. House was built in the 1930s (date is not legible on bowl). Bowl in very nice overall condition…. A few stress cracks in the glaze here and there. I have the matching tank-lid and will list it separately.
