One-Of-A-Kind sgraffito ceramic art bowl by Mia Tyson. This is a One-Of-A-Kind Sculptural sgraffito ceramic art bowl by world renown American artist Mia Tyson, dating to 1989. This piece is signed by Mia Tyson. This striking modernist bowl features a stylized figural portrait of a women rendered in white sgraffito against a matte black ground, accented by subtle geometric and linear patterning. The sculptural folded lip adds dimension and movement, giving the piece a bold presence. Tyson’s work is known for its narrative figural imagery, bold graphic linework, and masterful surface carving. This piece exemplifies her distinctive visual language and is intended as a sculptural art object rather than functional tableware. Hand built One-Of-A-Kind ceramic with sgraffito decoration Bowl. 6 inches at highest folded edge. Excellent- Mint vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. Minor surface variation on the bottom consistent with age and handmade studio pottery. Please review photos carefully. This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade work. Each line is individually carved, creating depth, movement, and subtle variation across the surface. Intended for decorative display only and not recommended for food use. This is a Beautiful Vintage Handcrafted, Unique Studio Pottery Double Parrot Head glazed Bowl. This unique bowl is so well executed with beautiful coloring inside and out.. Bowl features two parrot heads on each end of the bowl in lovely green and blue tones with raised feather designs on the side, the inside of the bowl is a bright purple with a leaf design.. Bowl measures approximately 15 1/2″ by 8″ and is about 4 1/2 tall. Condition is good with only one issue to report.. The end of one beak appears to have been chipped off, we are not certain that this didn’t occur in the making, however it does appear to have been touched up.. This is only noticeable on close inspection, but is mentioned here for accuracy sake.. Please view all photos as they are considered part of the item description.
