There are fingerprints on the inside from when it was glazed (before the artist’s signature) so could be the artist’s fingerprint smudges. Large, Lovely old two-piece wash basin and pitcher. French – U & Cie Sarreguemines – Decor 3587. White with blue/gray mosaic pattern around the top edges and handle of the pitcher. Pitcher measures 11″ tall x 6 3/4″ in diameter. Basin bowl measures 16″ diameter and about 5″ deep. Condition – Vintage set shows age and wear. Crazing marks are pretty consistent on both pieces. There is a worn edge in the glaze on the some of the bowl’s edge (see photo). There is also a 2 hairline inner crack on the top inside of the pitcher.
