Description: This exquisite set of two handmade studio pottery bowls by renowned ceramic artist Bill Campbell captures the beauty of nature and the cosmos through masterful glaze chemistry and form. Each bowl is individually thrown and finished in Campbell’s signature multilayer crystalline drip glaze, showcasing breathtaking transitions of deep plum, cobalt blue, aqua, and amber brown tones. The first bowl features a flared rim with petal-like waves, while the second maintains a smooth, rounded profile, both demonstrating exceptional control of glaze flow and kiln atmosphere. The crystalline bursts resemble flower petals, rippling water, or distant galaxies, creating a mesmerizing depth and movement unique to each piece. Rich crystalline drip glaze finish. Dimensions: 8″ Diameter × 3″ Height (each). Marked on base with Campbell signature. Color palette: Blue, brown, green with ivory highlights. Finish: Glossy, high-fired glaze. Design: Trillium flower and starburst motif. Why You’ll Love It: A perfect fusion of art and function, this set can serve as display pieces, serving bowls, or collector décor. The luminous glazes evoke the beauty of natural minerals, celestial skies, and abstract floral forms, making them a stunning centerpiece for any space. Additional Notes: Each piece is unique due to hand-thrown craftsmanship and variable kiln reactions. These bowls reflect the Modern American Studio Craft movement, where artists like Campbell emphasize individuality, organic design, and painterly glazing inspired by nature’s elemental forces.
