Gien France DU BARRY Pont Aux Choux Faience Large 5-Qt Soup Tureen. Offering a lovely 5-quart large footed soup tureen with lid by Gien France in the Du Barry pattern. What appears to be identical to the Pont Aux Choux pattern, this pattern has a scalloped border with elongated embossed dots on 6 panels, lid has an artichoke finial. Measures 10 ½” high to top of finial (6″ high to top of bowl) x 10 ½” in diameter (12 ½” from handle to handle) and holds 5 quarts. In very good condition free of chips, cracks or repairs except for the finial which has a few small chips at the tips as shown, there is crazing throughout commensurate with age and use.
