This rare Bauer 14 Ringware Salad Bowl in Cobalt is a vintage serving bowl made in California during the early 20th century. This round ceramic bowl features a glossy finish and a beautiful blue color, making it perfect for all occasions. Hand wash only to preserve its original charm and vintage appeal. It is an original piece of art pottery with an impressed backstamp, showcasing the craftsmanship of Bauer’s production style. In excellent condition with no major issues. There is a flake on the side as seen in the pictures. Not sure if this is from production but it’s barely noticeable.

I can’t find any comps for this giant 14.5 size anywhere. No chip, cracks or scratches. Amazing condition for the age. Luna Garcia Pottery was a studio created in 1979 by artists Cindy and Curtis Ripley. They specialized in functional tableware characterized by simple, elegant, handmade shapes with satin matte colored glazes. Their studio was located in Venice Beach, California. Their pottery pieces became collectible and were featured in fine art galleries and homes worldwide. They were known for being sturdy and versatile, appearing on the tables of notable Westside restaurants like Gjelina, Rustic Canyon, and Huckleberry. While their items are considered “instant collectibles, ” the studio has since closed several years ago, making their pieces highly sought after.
