Bowl and mugs are marked with the incised mark as shown on the bottoms. Condition: old hairline crack to one cup, no other chips, cracks or repairs. Another cup is darkened inside, looks like it was splashed with the dark cobalt glaze from the outside rim panels. Dimensions: Punch bowl approx. Overall approx 12″ high and 12″ wide from handle to handle. The cups measure 3 1/2 tall.

Large Soup Tureen or Punch Bowl – we’re thinking Egg Nog or Mulled Wine for the holidays. Large vessel, 6 matching mugs. Large piece – heavy as well. Castles of the Rhein and the Mosel Rivers on the bowl. Neiderwald, Stolzenfels, Deutscheseck, and Rheinstein on the mugs. We love all the little details – the little man is sitting on with his basket of grapes – the handles on the mugs are made to look like wood. The bowl is appx. 7 5/8 at the highest point w/o the lid appx. 13″ with the lid in place x 13″ handle to handle x 8.5 across at the widest points. Each mug is appx. 3 2/8″ at the highest point x 5 1/8″ from side to handle at the widest points x 3 7/8 across at the widest points. Picture 10 shows the markings on the bottom of the mugs. Vintage Castles on the Rhine Gerz – Germany Punch Bowl Set with 4 mugs. Excellent condition no chip cracks but there is some crazing.
