Vintage Harrison McIntosh Blue-Glazed Pottery Bowl. Made in the 1940′s. This lovely authentic sea-blue cast glazed bowl was created in the 1940′s. By ceramic artist, Harrison McIntosh. In the method learned from his association with, Glen Lukens. It is 9 inches in diameter and 1.6 inches in height. 3 of an inch in height and 3.15 inch in diameter. It is incised on the base. It is in wonderful condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs; only some slight crazing from age. McIntosh was introduced to ceramics at a USC night class taught by Glen Lukens. In 1944, he was drafted by the U. Bill to study ceramics at Claremont Graduate School. He also studied with Margaret Wildenhain at Pond Farm in the summer of 1953 and with Peter Voulkos for 6 months at Otis Art School. After his time at Otis, McIntosh set up his own workshop and began producing pottery in his Claremont studio.
