And a coordinating dip bowl measuring about 5¼ inches. The large bowl has a subtle indent to nestle the bowl. Both pieces are about 2 inches high. The small bowl has a flared shape. These pieces are examples of Campbell’s wheel-thrown craftsmanship and fluid glaze patterning. Each piece is individually crafted. Resulting in natural variations in color and swirl. Comes from the late Bill Stern who collected antique/vintage California pottery from a variety of makers. Stern founded the Museum of California Design in Los Angeles. This listing is for a Bill Campbell Studio Art Pottery Large 12.25 Ceramic Centerpiece Bowl. It is signed with inscribed “Campbell” on the bottom (photo 6). It has a fantastic blue and white glossy drip glaze over glossy brown. Raised spiral swirl design in center with other textured designs around outside. Exterior is glossy black. It is in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks, or repairs. All rims and edges are perfect. Very clean in and out! Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. (White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item). It is big, heavy, and fragile weighing 3.75 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. UPS is usually the cheapest for big and heavy packages. It measures about 12 1/4″ across, about 3 1/2″ tall, and 4 1/8 at the base.
