A Gorgeous Large Vintage Seagrove North Carolina Blue Brown Glazed Pottery Punch Bowl by Dorothy Cole Auman. I would say this is a one of a kind punch bowl. Dorothy Cole Auman and her husband, Walter, died in a tragic automobile accident in 1991. I bought this punch bowl along with over 80 matching cups from a woman that had Miss Dorothy as a babysitter when she was growing up. The glaze on this bowl is stunning. It is an earthy blue tipped and infused with a brown color. The approximate measurement of the bowl is 14 ½ in diameter and 7 high. This bowl is also very heavy at 9 pounds. The condition of the bowl is excellent pre-owned vintage condition. There are no chips or breaks. There are irregularities in the glaze. The bottom inside of the bowl has some veins in the surface-see last photo. They do not seem to go all the way through to the underside.
