A gorgeous mid-century creamer and lidded sugar set from Los Artesanos, the celebrated Puerto Rican pottery stemmed from master potter Hal Lasky’s studio in Santurce. Both pieces are wheel-thrown stoneware in a warm, speckled oatmeal-white glaze, banded at the foot with a carved sgraffito border of concentric squares in the exposed clay. The creamer has a pulled spout and looped handle; the sugar bowl keeps its original knobbed lid. Los Artesanos produced hand-designed, hand-carved artware that helped define mid-century modern ceramics on the island, and every piece varies slightly by hand. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The iron speckling and glaze variation are original to the making, not flaws. As always, we pack carefully and securely for safe transit.
