See our other listings for more items! 36 various Pieces of Marcrest Swiss Chalet Alpine Dinnerware “Hand decorated and made in America Detergent Proof / Oven Proof Underglazed” Included are many different pieces… A good way to round out your existing set: 8 Bowls 5 1/3″ x 1 3/8″ 8 Luncheon Plates (8 1/2″) 5 Bread Plates (6 1/4″) 5 Salad Plates (8 1/2″) 2 Serving/Chop Platters (11 1/2″) 1 Dinner Plate (10″) 7 Cups and 8 Saucers (Cups 3 1/2″ across top not including the handle x 3″ tall) (Saucers are 5 3/4″ across). Condition: No chips, nicks or repairs. There is light crazing of the clear glaze on some of the pieces, many are free of crazing… Common on this age and type of china. One of the cups has heavy crazing on the inside and some visible on the outside. A few of the plates have a small stain, typical of a rust stain but not bad; See the last photo as an example. The dinner plate has been used most and is darker with utensil marks and a small pin size black mark. The round serving platters are exquisite and a beautiful example of Mid Century colors and style. They look new with a brilliant shine; no wear or utensil marks anywhere to be found! The rest of the pieces have been used but are in considerably nice condition for the age. Heavy, obvious crazing throughout, as well as some discolored crazing. May be a few flea bites here and there, as well as spots of discoloration. Chop plate/round platter: 11-5/8 diameter.
