5 Vintage Quimper Henriot 4.5 Lug Handle Porringer Bowl France 176 Handpainted

Quimper faience is produced in a factory near Quimper, in Brittany, France. Since 1708, Quimper faience (“faïence” in French) has been painted by hand, and production continues to this day. “Petit Breton” plate, Henriot, c1925. The “Faïenceries de Quimper” were established in “Locmaria”, the historical faience quarter of the city of Quimper, near the center. The Faïencerie d’Art Breton, newly created in 1994, was also established in Quimper, but outside the historical quarter “Locmaria”. “Locmaria” now also houses a Quimper faience museum. The pottery’s design reflects a traditional Breton influence. One design, which became typical for Quimper faience, is the “petit breton”, a naive representation of Breton man and/or woman in traditional Breton costume. The “petit breton” became popular around 1870 and is still today the main design bought by tourists. Older Quimper faience items are sought after by collectors worldwide. Vintage French Quimper Pottery – Set of 2 serving bowls. First bowl is approximately 1.5″ deep and 8″ across. It has some wear in the glaze around the edge of the rim of the bowl. The second bowl is 3″ deep and 10″ across. There is some chips and wear around the rim of the bowl. CpC Céramiques de Cornouaille is a pottery in Quimper, France. The pattern of these bowls is their most famous: Traditionnel Breton. Hand painted and coated with a beautiful, shiny glaze. The twin bowl measures 4-1/2″ in diameter, 1-5/8″ high, 10” long. Connected in the middle. No chips or cracks. 2 Double handle Quimper Breton Cereal Bowls. The bowl measures 5 1/4″ in diameter, 7 1/4″ from the handles, by 2 5/8 tall, no chips or cracks. Quimper dishes are produced in France. Each piece is hand painted by one artist from start to finish. Dating HB QUIMPER POTTERY and maker has always been difficult FOR MOST SELLERS…. There were 3 COMPANIES.. Over time HB HR Combination merged in 1913 then in 1968 they ALL MERGED as ONE. You are ALL on your own. ++ —- What else can I say? Right at 11″ x 7 1/2″ x 2 1/2 and ABSOLUTELY NO UTENSIL MARKS! As I stated a few SLIGHT little nicks to the THIN TIN GLAZE ONLY…. IN REALITY one of the BEST FOR THE AGE normally found. What you see is what you get… A REAL BEAUTY and will DISPLAY SO WONDERFULLY in your SHOW CASE at HOME, SHOP or the MALL!!! —- I LOVE MY JOB! —- Note also the OLDER UNGLAZED bottom rim… This FIND SHOULD NOT last the day!
