The Comodo blue Straw Flower décor, also called Indian Blue is traditionally done by hand in an elaborate process. Individual variations in the décor are a sign for quality. The shape of this BLAU SAKS tea pot is reminiscent of a traditional tea kettle and holds the promise of delicious tea. BLAU SAKS with its stylised floral pattern is a classic porcelain that works equally well on a rustic wooden table and on a finely laid festive dinner table. There is a mixture of the vintage older Fiesta ware and the newer. Several of the pieces are harder to find than others. I have more pictures of the pieces if anyone wants to see them. The casserole dish does have a small spot on it. If you look at my other listings you can find it listed separately. There you can see the blemish. Also the orange bowl has a piece broken off it. There may be a ding or two here and there. Also a few pieces do show signs of use. And at a great expense. I will sell some of the items separately if anyone is interested. Large Soup Tureen or Punch Bowl – we’re thinking Egg Nog or Mulled Wine for the holidays. Large vessel, 6 matching mugs. Large piece – heavy as well. Castles of the Rhein and the Mosel Rivers on the bowl. Neiderwald, Stolzenfels, Deutscheseck, and Rheinstein on the mugs. We love all the little details – the little man is sitting on with his basket of grapes – the handles on the mugs are made to look like wood. The bowl is appx. 7 5/8 at the highest point w/o the lid appx. 13″ with the lid in place x 13″ handle to handle x 8.5 across at the widest points. Each mug is appx. 3 2/8″ at the highest point x 5 1/8″ from side to handle at the widest points x 3 7/8 across at the widest points. Picture 10 shows the markings on the bottom of the mugs.
