Lazy Susan Ceramic California Pottery 5pc Set Vintage 1960s STUNNING. This is a great, near mint condition, Ceramic Lazy Susan in browns, oranges, and red. These colors are just Out of this World!! You will not be disappointed. 2 large, divided dishes for a total of 4 spaces along with a center dish with lid rest on the pressed wood rotating base. The 2 side dishes do interlock with one another. See photos for flaws, photos 8,9 and 10. These flaws will be covered by the center dish and are not seen. The crack underneath, (photo 8) appears to have occurred during the firing process. How awesome is taco night or any night with this little beauty stylishly holding all those fixing’s. Van Nays Lazy Susan. Vintage Lazy Susan yellow 3 slots and middle bowl 7 3/4 diameter. There Are 3 Ivory compartments around the bowl turn table. The ivory compartments s wirled measure 10″ long and 3 1/2″ wide. The turntable is 14 1/8 diameter. No chips or Cracks, there is some crazing on one of the ivory compartments. Very little and not noticeable. The middle bowl yellow is sturdy along with the silver triangle that stands 2 1/2 high. Is tight no looseness. The yellow compartments are 5″ long 3 1/2 wide and 1 1/2″ depth as well as the others are 1″ to 2″ depth. Description ——- Rare and unusual… And complete and original… This is a modern, mid century (late 1950s) Lazy Susan set, consisting of a wood & heavy iron wire rod rotating stand, with (6) original, leaf-shaped, pottery bowls with curved indentations on the undersides, which allows them to fit into the wood channel of the stand, to cantilever. This piece belonged to my mother. As a kid, I was tasked with filling the bowls with pretzels and nuts, for parties. The leaf-shaped bowls are clean-lined, mold-formed, and glazed in a glossy grey or a warm white, with a subtle, raised, striped texture inside the bowls, which resembles the veins of a leaf. Please read the condition report in the box above – as there is paint wear to the stand and two bowls have chips on their undersides. Unsigned, but the bowl shape is similar to designs by Eva Zeisel. The black wood and wire stand is just so 50s modern, in the manner of Frederic Weinberg. When not in use it is. A striking, sculptural sideboard or table accessory with an unexpected mid century attitude. The party starts, and it is used as intended, it is fun and practical. It could also be used creatively, like to display jewelry. Since the bowls lift off the stand, cleaning and storage is easy. Please see my other items for more from this estate. Large size – 19 diameter, overall, approximately when all bowls are in the stand. Stand is about 9″ tall to top of ring, by 8″ diameter at the base (6 diameter at turning portion). Each leaf shaped bowl measures about: 7.5″ x 5.5″ x 1.5 approx, overall. Shown on a 42 round table. Weighs about 8 pounds on my scale, before packing.
