Circa 1930s-40s WWII era ceramic animation figurine. Walt Disney made many anti Nazi propaganda cartoons during the war and this was probably part of a set with goofy US sailors hanging out on Waikiki Beach. Hand pottered and painted by Brayton Laguna. Expected glaze crazing and a tiny glaze’pop’ in her hair (see pic 8 above). Measures just under 6 tall. Vernon Kilns Walt Disney Fantasia #120 Mushroom Bowl Dish Blue Vintage Vernon Kilns pottery casserole dish or bowl. It was made in the 1940s by the California Company called Vernon Kilns, who had a license with Disney after the movie Fantasia was released to produce products of the movie. The dish is in excellent condition. It is marked #120. I dont think anyone ever used it for cooking. This bowl features the Dancing mushrooms from the movie. Its finished in a rare hard to find light blue color glaze. It is in excellent condition, see pictures for more details. Bowl measures 12 ¼ long x 7 ¼ inches wide. Set of 2 Vintage 1940. “Walt Disney Autumn Ballet”. Beautifully hand painted in California by Vernon Kilns. Soup Cup measures 5″ diameter & 2-7/8″ deep. Excellent Condition; no chips, no cracks, no stains, no crazing. Vibrant color & shiny glaze finish. Vernon Kilns’ “Fantasia” dinnerware based on the Walt Disney feature film released that year. It has a brown printed allover pattern with color added by hand. The design includes bell-shaped flowers, leaves and other elements including hard-to-see fairies with elongated wings. The Disney dinnerware by Vernon was produced for a limited time and all of it is scarce.
