Signed Joel Edwards Studio Pottery Lidded Vessel. Dimensions – 7.5″ wide x 7.5″ deep x 5.5 tall. Stoneware with designs throughout. In good original condition, there are no cracks, chips or repairs. Hand signed on the bottom Edwards. I have a few other Joel Edwards ceramics available in separate auctions you can see them all in a few pictures. Local pick-up is always welcomed. This is a Vintage mid century modern Doranne California Pottery Covered Bowl / Candy Dish in Aqua / Turquoise and Cream Speckled Glaze. The bowl is marked on the bottom “Doranne USA Calif “. This mid century modern covered dish measured approximately 8-3/4 inches deep, 9-1/4 inches long and 3-3/4 inches tall with the lid attached. This piece has some dark stains on the intereior but does not have any chips, cracks or repairs.
Signed David Cressey Studio Pottery Bowl. Dimensions – 10.5″ diameter x 2.75″ diameter. Tan with brown vertical sgraffito designs. In good original condition. Hand signed on the bottom Cressey. Here is a knick on the outside edge, there are some close up photos. It displays beautifully as-is, its a good candidate for repair. Local pick-up is always welcomed. All packages will be insured.
1940′s Dorothy Kindell turtle trinket box. (or what every you choose to use it for). The glaze has crazing to it. When looking at the close up pictures of the crazing, please remember that they are close up pictures. 2 chips on one foot. There are 2 pictures of his foot with the spots. The picture of the side of his foot has 3 white spots showing. The spot to the left is the chip and the other 2 spots is the foot reflecting the sunlight. I think the very end of its tail has a tiny spot of glaze missing. I do not think it is chipped, but which every it maybe, there is a tiny spot/issue on the end of its tail. White dot on the top of its head. You cannot feel it when you run your fingernail across it. Great color and shine. Inside its belly is clean. Great display piece and very hard to find. Please look the pictures over.
This vintage bowl is a unique and stunning piece with a mid-century vibe. Handmade in the United States, it features a unique mosaic effect with Sascha Brastoff’s signature on the inside. There are fingerprints on the inside from when it was glazed (before the artist’s signature) so could be the artist’s fingerprint smudges. Lazy Susan Ceramic California Pottery 5pc Set Vintage 1960s STUNNING. This is a great, near mint condition, Ceramic Lazy Susan in browns, oranges, and red. These colors are just Out of this World!! You will not be disappointed. 2 large, divided dishes for a total of 4 spaces along with a center dish with lid rest on the pressed wood rotating base. The 2 side dishes do interlock with one another. See photos for flaws, photos 8,9 and 10. These flaws will be covered by the center dish and are not seen. The crack underneath, (photo 8) appears to have occurred during the firing process. How awesome is taco night or any night with this little beauty stylishly holding all those fixing’s. Hi, call for cash / z elle / check discount. # on front page of store. Vintage original modern owl sculpture from the 1960s, signed Ellen Fergus, a California Artist. Original mid century modern owl figurine from the 1960s in California. The owl is partially glazed in an off-white color on the head and face. The glaze goes all the way down the back side. Fergus was a graduate of the Chouinard Art institute, and a known artist and sculptor in Southern California during the 1960s. She taught classes in clay figure sculpture for the public and had a studio in Sierra Madre. The Chouinard Art Institute of Los Angeles was founded in 1921 by Nelbert Murphy Chouinard, and later with the help of Roy and Walt Disney merged with The Los Angeles Conservatory of Music to become what is now the California Institute of the Arts or CALARTS.
