Antique Vintage Ironstone Large Wash Bowl Basin Pitcher Set. Vintage 1890 Ironstone England! “Ironstone 1890 England” stamped on base. 2 Items: Large Wash Bowl & Pitcher Set. The color of the set is darker than pink, more like coral. Large Wash Bowl measures approx. 15 1/2″ Wide X 4 1/2″ Tall. 11 1/2″ Tall X 8 1/2″ Wide. There are no cracks in the set. There is two small parallel lines embedded in the finish on the underside of the bowl, they are NOT scratches. There are two very small chips on the underside of the bowl that I took close up pictures of for your review. These blemishes are not noticeable, I took a wide out picture for perspective and a zoomed in picture to show more detail. Overall the set is in excellent cosmetic vintage condition considering it is almost 130 years old! The prior owner must have been a smoker because the pitcher had an odor to it. I didn’t notice it and would not have noticed it-until I was inspecting the set to take pictures. Since I have cleaned the set there is little to no noticeable odor.
