Hopi Pottery, Vintage, Large Traditional Polychrome Sikyatki Revival Design Bowl, Signed Violet Huma. This is a vintage thick wall piece. Is cited in Gregory Schaaf’s 500 artist bio. She was the mother of Anita Polacca. She is a renowned master potter. Her pieces are highly sought after and held in the finest of collections. This piece has nice warm fire clouding. Her pieces are fairly rare, this bowl is an excellent example of her finer work. Very good condition considering the age, as I estimate somewhere around 50 years old. Some minor scuffing as expected for a piece of this age. Please view ALL photos for complete description and condition, nothing is hidden, all sides shown. Salt shaker shown for proportion. The display stand shown is included. Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches at high laying flat, by 9 1/2 inches at it’s widest point. The starting price is what I paid for it in 2015, but I will consider offers. Truly exceptional Sikyatki Revival Piece for the discerning collector.
