This piece has an arts-and-crafts design with a stylized floral motif of trillium blooms or spiderworts encircling the shoulder. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. There are some stray marks on the bowl including very minor scratches and scuffing from gentle use. The piece is almost 2″ tall, 4-1/2″ wide at the shoulder, and 3-1/2 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2098 and the production year XXIX (1929). This gorgeous glaze is a matte, blended blue-green glaze that creates an ombre effect as it drips down to the base. Glaze drips on the base were ground flat to level the bowl, and stilt marks are visible. The bowl is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 8 photos!
