This piece has an arts-and-crafts design with a geometric floral motif encircling the shoulder. The bowl is in excellent condition with small glaze drips and pinholes with shallow grinding slivers at the base rim. There is thinner glaze just inside the top rim with visible glaze skips and misses, and has pooled inside the bottom. The rim itself is slightly rough to the touch. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. The piece is 2-1/4″ tall, almost 4-3/4″ wide at the shoulder, and 3-1/2 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2131 and the production year XXI (1921). This gorgeous glaze is a matte mauve or lighter mulberry color with shades of pink, purple and red. The bowl is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 9 photos!
